COURSE FEE:  $370 total  (includes all materials and range fees)  is due at signup (50% non-refundable, see Policies.  Pay course fee online by clicking on the paypal button on this page (or message for address to send a check).  PLEASE NOTE: For current NRA Instructors, if you are current on your Basics Instrutor Training (BIT) day (within 24 months), the course fee is $270.

COURSE GOAL:  To develop NRA Certified Instructors who possess the knowledge, skills, and attitude necessary to conduct the NRA Basics of Pistol Shooting Course.
 

The course includes two (3) full days of training:

-NRA Basics of Rifle Shooting Course (student level course, required pre-requisite)

-NRA Basic Instructor Training

​-NRA Rifle Instructor Training Course

INSTRUCTOR CANDIDATES ARE REQUIRED TO ATTEND ALL 3 DAYS AS SCHEDULED ABOVE, UNLESS THEY ARE AN EXISTING NRA INSTRUCTOR, AND ARE CURRENT ON THEIR NRA BASIC INSTRUCTOR TRAINING (BIT) WITHIN THE LAST 24 MONTHS.

DUE TO RANGE LIMITATIONS, INSTRUCTORS ARE REQUIRED TO UTILIZE RIMFIRE RIFLES FOR QUALIFICATION.

Instructor Candidates must attend and pass the NRA Basics of Rifle Shooting Course as noted on the schedule above, and score a 90% or better on the written test along with the shooting qualification. Prior to the Instructor Training, all candidates will complete a pre-course questionnaire and demonstrate their firearm proficiency in pre-course assessment exercises, including a shooting qualification. Upon successful completion of this Course, Instructor Candidates will be certified by the NRA to teach the NRA Basics of Rifle Shooting Course.
