CURRENT COURSE DATE AND TIME: November 5-7, 2021 - 8:00 AM TO 7:00 PM PM (approx.) each day. (Please arrive by 7:45am each day) We're allocating extra time for travel to/from the range in the time estimate. The last day may be longer as we finish up the Instructor portion.

Parking in the lot beside the building and enter the through the North door, facing Broad Street.

Range: Cardinal Shooting Center Pistol Range, 3389 County Rd 225, Marengo, OH 43334

​COURSE FEE: $370 total (includes all materials and range fees). $185 non-refundable deposit is due at signup, with the balance paid on Day 1 of class. Pay deposit online by clicking on the paypal button on this page (or message for address to send a check).

COURSE GOAL: To develop NRA Certified Instructors who possess the knowledge, skills, and attitude necessary to conduct the NRA Basic Personal Protection Outside The Home Course.
This course includes three (3) full days of training:
Day 1: NRA Basic Personal Protection Outside The Home (required pre-requisite student level course, Level 1, Basic, Level 2, Advanced are included sequentially)
Day 2: Complete remainder of NRA Basic Personal Protection Outside The Home, begin NRA Basic Personal Protection Outside The Home Instructor Training
Day 3: Complete remainder of NRA Basic Personal Protection Outside The Home Instructor Training

WHAT TO BRING:
-9mm semi-auto (or .38spl double action revolver)
-Strong-side ONLY concealment-style holster (hard sided, belt mounted)
-Magazine pouches
-At least 3 magazines
-Speedloader/Mag loader
-Concealment method (vest, jacket, etc.)
-Dark sunglasses
-Flashlight (optional)
-Kneepads (optional)
-450 rounds ammo
-Eye and ear protection
-Notepad, pens, highlighters
-1.5" binder for your class materials
-Balance of class fee ($185, checks payable to Jessamy Bright LLC))
-Cooler with lunch, snacks and drinks (some of which will be provided, including dinner on the days we need to travel back to the classroom to finish up work for the day, most likely day 2/3.)
-Sunscreen, bug spray, hat and any other weather appropriate attire
-Camp chair

Instructor Candidates must be current NRA Certified Pistol Instructors AND NRA Certified Personal Protection In The Home Instructors, have attended Basic Instructor Training (BIT) within the last two (2) years. If you are past the two-year mark and need to re-take BIT, a BIT class date may be available in November, 2021 in South Bloomfield, Ohio for an additional fee (or sit in for free if you're a Patronus Training Alumni Instructor).

Instructor Candidates must attend and pass the NRA Basic Personal Personal Protection Outside The Home Course (Level 1, Basic and Level 2, Advanced ) noted on the schedule above, and score a 90% or better on the written test, along with the shooting qualification. Upon successful completion of this Course, Instructor Candidates will be certified by the NRA to teach the NRA Basic Personal Protection Outside The Home Course.
