HOW TO REGISTER:  Fill out the registration form for the desired class date, and then pay your deposit by Paypal (click on the Pay Now button on this page), or make arrangements to mail a check.  You will receive confirmation of your registration and deposit payment, along with directions to the classroom/range.  PLEASE NOTE: You must complete the registration form AND pay your deposit at signup to guarantee your spot in the course.

DESCRIPTION:  This non-shooting course teaches students the basic knowledge and skills, and explains the attitude necessary for the safe handling and storage of firearms and ammunition in the home.  This is a four and a half (4 1/2) hour course for safe gun handling that is conducted in the classroom only.

Students will receive the NRA Home Firearm Safety handbook, NRA Gun Safety Rules brochure, Basic Firearm Training Program brochure, course completion certificate.

Please note that we will have NO LIVE AMMO in the classroom, so secure any firearm and ammo in your locked vehicle outside for safety purposes.

This class includes instruction on:
- NRA’s three rules for safe gun handling; - Primary causes of firearms accidents;
- Firearm parts;
- How to unload certain action types;
- Ammunition components;
- Cleaning; care;
- Safe storage of firearms in the home;
- Benefits of becoming an active participant in the shooting sports.
